Need some movement medicine? Are you too dealing with ZOOM Fatigue? As an avidly active person whose career has bounced me all over the globe, I know what it is like to be in search of a quality workout, body conditioning practice, or restorative stretch session to re-center and heal.

I teach yoga and yoga-related fitness classes in Taos and Northern New Mexico at several locations where both members and drop-ins are welcome. At least I usually do. Now in the Covid-sphere I’ve joined the virtual world and have taken my offerings on-line. See my calendar below for the current schedule of group offerings and detailed class descriptions.

About My Practice

Yoga has been a pillar of my physical and mental health practice for over two decades. This path began as a stretching practice to compliment an athletic lifestyle and later became an exploration and fascination with the ‘so much more’ that yoga has to offer. Curiosity (and occasional misconceptions) about yoga by family and friends lead me to teach – and that decision has been one of the best I’ve made.

My original teacher training took place in Mysore, India under Yogacharya Barath Shetty – a disciple of B.K.S. Iyengar – in the IndeaYoga style, earning a teaching certificate in 2012. IndeaYoga combines Hatha, Ashtanga and Iyengar styles including elements of meditation, pranayama and Patanjali ‘s Yoga Sutras. Further, I’ve trained in body specific care including: Hip Bliss, Shoulder Recovery, Yoga and the Aging Body, Cardio Yoga Sculpt, Inversions, Anatomy Trains, Myofascial release and more.

Beyond my physical practice, my work-life further delves into the link between human and environmental health where I have worked in the realms of restoration ecology, health & conservation education, and recreation for mental health.
